Ólafur Arnalds croons Miley Cyrus’ 7 Things

Ólafur Arnalds took a short break during his week-long Found Songs project to
record this little ditty. As you’ll see, Óli strips the song down to it’s schlock n’roll
roots and don’t the kids just love it!

King Creosote taps Twin Tub Twin at Aldrei fór ég suður

King Creosote (aka Kenny Anderson) taps into Twin Tub Twin Ísafjörður during
the Aldrei fór ég suður Festival. You can find the original version on KC’s Rocket
D.I.Y. album from 2005.

KC was made the 8-hour drive up from Reykjavik in the hopes of getting a last
minute slot on the festival bill. When that avenue was thwarted KC jumped the
bus ferrying punters back to town and played his songs to a surprised but ecstatic
mob on a couple of journeys to and from the venue.

Bad Veins bring Gold and Warm to a Brooklyn rooftop

Bad Veins take advantage of a break in the clouds and bask in some early spring
rays as they belt out Gold and Warm. The duo decided to give their signature reel-
to-reel tape recorder a break and play an acoustic rendition of the track. Look out
for the band’s debut album which will be released by Dangerbird Records on July 21.
